Second Harvest Foodbank Food Drive

It’s that time of year again! We’re proud to continue our tradition of partnering with Potter Lawson to support the Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin.

This will be Potter Lawson’s 35th year participating in the Second Harvest Food Drive. The last 28 have been with the Channel 15 “Share Your Holidays” Food Drive that they helped start with Mike McKinney.

Since their first food drive in 1989, with your help we have donated more than 1,000,000 meals to Second Harvest.

This year’s goal is 35,000 meals!

What is Section 179?

Section 179 of the IRS tax code allows businesses to deduct the full purchase price of qualifying equipment and software purchased or financed during the tax year. Instead of depreciating these assets over time, businesses can deduct the full amount in the year of purchase, which provides immediate tax relief.
